Group Counselling

Group counselling is about assisting a group of individuals who have suffered the same experience. By facilitation and help of the counsellor, clients share their experiences and gain healing from the process.

Group therapy acts as a support base and shows individuals that they are not alone, and allows them the opportunity of receiving social support. Within group counselling, clients are able to safely express their feelings and needs. The counsellor acts as a facilitator, may introduce topics for discussion, and does not dominate the conversation.

Topics for group counselling include:

  • Eating disorders
  • Traumatic experiences
  • Dealing with loss
  • Support groups for depression and anxiety

Please inquire about specific topics and when the next group counselling course will be held.
